Sandrine Veiga is one of our most experienced pharmacists.
She began her career at Farmácia Rosa and is now a pharmacist at Farmácia Caldense.
In addition, it is responsible for the individualised preparation of medication for institutions and private customers of Farmácia Caldense.
“My name is Sandrine and I have been working at Correia Rosa pharmacies since 1 June 2007.
I studied Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon.
I chose to become a pharmacist because I have always been fascinated by the compounding of medicines, and for a number of years I was involved in the production of compounded medicines at Farmácia Rosa.
At the moment, I spend a large part of my time preparing medication on a one-to-one basis!’

If you could solve one problem in the world, which one would you choose and why?
Hunger – with so many resources available, I find it unacceptable that so many people are going hungry, especially children.
Has any experience in a pharmacy setting helped you become a better professional?
A customer came to the chemist’s to thank me for insisting that he go to hospital, as he ended up being admitted for several weeks with pneumonia. I was very happy to receive his thanks.
