Inês Costa

Inês Costa is a pharmacist at Farmácias Caldense and Rosa.

As well as serving customers, she is responsible for projects and training at the Correia Rosa pharmacies.

She loves planning and implementing strategies for staff development!

“I was born in Lisbon; in 2019 I moved to the west, where I already had family and now have friends for life.
I’m a people person and I value freedom, as well as other values such as trust, justice and humility. I believe that a sense of humour is a ‘lifesaver’ and makes life a bit lighter, which is why I really enjoy laughing and being around cheerful people. I’m a fan of outdoor activities, the heat and the beach.
As someone with a passion for the healthcare sector, I graduated in pharmaceutical sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Lisbon.
As well as my experience in community pharmacy, I spent seven years working as a consultant in the field of healthcare information systems. This experience has made me appreciate resilience and team spirit even more – skills that we work on extensively in our day-to-day work at Correia Rosa pharmacies.”

If you could solve one problem in the world, which one would you choose and why?

Poverty / Inequality in access to essential goods. There is nothing more unjust than being born in the wrong place at the wrong time, and for that reason – and that reason alone – being condemned to a life without the bare necessities, a life of indignity and without access to basic human rights.

An experience in your life that has left a lasting impression on you?

I have to mention two, which were equally memorable, for different reasons: a trip to India, and international volunteering in São Tomé with the NGO WACT.
