If you could solve one problem in the world, which one would you choose and why?
I would choose to put an end to discrimination. I believe that everyone deserves to be treated with equality and respect, regardless of their background, appearance, beliefs or circumstances. Empathy and respect are like social ‘medicines’; they heal invisible wounds and bring people closer together.

Has any experience in a pharmacy setting helped you become a better professional?
Throughout my career in pharmacy, working with experienced colleagues who were always willing to teach me has been crucial to my development. From them, I learnt that knowledge is important, but it is kindness and empathy that make the difference in day-to-day interactions with patients.
Has there been an experience in your life that has left a lasting impression on you?
My move from Cape Verde to Portugal. It was a challenge that helped me mature, learn to adapt and appreciate empathy and caring for others even more.
