Catarina Afonso
Catarina Afonso is a pharmacist at the Rosa pharmacy.
She’s one of the most recognisable faces at Correia Rosa pharmacies, having been with us for 20 years! What she enjoys most is providing pharmaceutical advice.
My family is my inspiration for the way I view life and my relationships with others. As a mother of three, I try to live each day fully and authentically, questioning the narrative I construct both within and outside myself.
I enjoy music, theatre and dance, and I love being with friends. ‘Starting afresh’ is my favourite phrase, because I believe it’s an invitation to change, creativity and personal growth.
I am 44 years old, 20 of which I have spent working at Rosa Pharmacy. I prioritise providing a personalised, caring and generous service, and I believe I should leave a little bit of myself in every interaction. As well as being a pharmacist, I also specialise in Community Pharmacy. When it comes to counselling, the area where I feel I play a key and distinctive role is breastfeeding. From personal experience, I’m a strong advocate of happy breastfeeding!
