“I’m from Oeiras, Lisbon. I have a degree in Communication Sciences and, although I love that field, I’ve always been curious about healthcare and felt that this was where I could really make a difference and have a direct impact on people’s lives.
As I was passionate about dermocosmetics and had always been naturally curious to learn more about medicines, I decided to explore this field further. To that end, I trained as a Pharmacy Assistant and have been working in parapharmacies and pharmacies ever since.
I love sunsets, films, travelling and discovering new cultures, the sea and nature.
It fulfils me to know that every day, in different ways, I help people.”

It would solve world hunger; there is nothing more important.

I can’t choose just one… there are so many genres I listen to!
A book that made a lasting impression on you?
There are several, but one of my favourites is *1984* by George Orwell, or *Fahrenheit 451* by Ray Bradbury.
Has any experience in a pharmacy setting helped you become a better professional?
Realising that we have a huge impact on people’s lives has made me study harder and always strive to be a better version of myself, both professionally and personally.
Has there been an experience in your life that has left a lasting impression on you?
Having one kidney smaller than the other as a child and not knowing whether or not I might have to have one of my kidneys removed. In the end, everything turned out fine, but that’s when I realised the importance of health and the impact that a hospital, the staff involved, and the right medication and treatments can have.
